The Tower of London, the White Tower was built over a thousand years ago, by William the Conquer, it stands proudly on the Banks of the River Thames. The Tower’s long history has seen it bear witness to some of the great events from our history,  including  Anne Boelyn who was imprisoned and executed there,  it was also home to the Royal Mint for over five hundred years. It was even London’s very first Zoo. Today it is home to the Crown Jewels and is guarded by the Yeoman Warders, who are all former members of the United Kingdoms Armed Forces.

The Tower of London is home to the Crown Jewels, accumulated through the centuries of alliance, warfare and conquest. Some are still worn by the Monarchy on important state occasions, the collection is priceless.

The crown featured on Crown Jewels coin is that of Mary Modena, who was the wife of James II. Three crowns were made for her, the goldsmith Richard De Beauvoir in 1685: coronation crown, as state crow and a diadem. The coronation crown no longer exists but the other two pieces reside in the main collection of the Crown Jewels at the Tower of London.
