The creator of the world famous sleuth Sherlock Holmes and his sidekick, Doctor Watson. Conan Doyle was a man of medicine, and successful in that field, until he decided to dedicate all his time to writing the adventures of Sherlock homes.
Sherlock Holmes was introduced in 1887 and was a hit the public adored his adventures and crime-solving skills. In total Conan Doyle wrote 60 stories featuring Sherlock, and Conan’s books have been turned into numerous films and televisions series.
