to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of
Beneditto Pistrucci’s famous
depiction .This special edition features Pistrucci’s
orginal ‘garter’ masterpiece , the ‘garter’ surrounds the famous St George and the dragon design.
This is the first time this beautiful design has featured on the Sovereign since 1820.
This 2017 half Gold Sovereign, has the date on the obverse of the coin, for the first time since 1887

four years after the Battle of Bosworth.
