MARY WAS ONE OF THE SHIPS BUILT AND WAS AMONG A FAVOURITE OF KING HENRY’S, NAMED AFTER HIS SISTER OR POSSIBLY THE VIRGIN MARY. THE MARY ROSE WAS THE PRIDE OF THE ROYAL NAVY.
